Through photography I am exploring my world: Trying to figure out my place in it, investigating myself, seeking connections, finding objects and people to collect and categorize. I often use my own flesh to make real the stories and image explosions conjured by my mind. I also reach out from myself, groping around in the near distance for things that I can make sense of through image-making. I am sometimes excited by the darkness and chaos of my imagination, at other times comforted by the patterns and order of reality. The results of my explorations are staged images, self-portraits and collections of the similar.
